ACCEPTABLE IDOLS...

Our pagan culture has created idols of indulgence, sensuality, detachment, contentiousness, and materialism. As we begin 2012, our Bible study at Myrtle Lake considers how our pagan roots predispose us to take the gifts of the Creator and indulge to excess. In contrast, followers of God show restraint and indulge only when said indulgence will glorify the Lord God.

In the weeks to follow, we will see that followers of Christ choose purity when sensuality does not glorify the Father. Followers of the Way always choose compassion over who or what is expend-able. God’s people follow a path of unity, not divisiveness—we may or may not agree, but we stand as one just as He stood as the One. People who follow Holy Spirit detest greed—it makes Him grieve, because He knows just Who gave it all up to demonstrate publicly the righteousness of Father God.

Our Basketball and Cheerleading season  starts soon! If you want to enroll your child in the best basketball and cheering league in Pasco County, click here>>>.

Last year's league featured over 65 boys and girls--we had fun, fellowship, and learned a lot about basketball, cheering, and Christ-like values, both on and off the court. For further information, or if you have questions, click here>>>
